Take Caution When Conducting Financial Transactions at ATMs

Members of the public are asked to be cautious as they transact business at ATMs.

ATM Skimming is a type of fraud which occurs when an ATM is compromised by a skimming device, a card reader which can be disguised to look like a part of the machine. The card reader saves the users’ card number and pin code, which is then replicated into a counterfeit copy for theft. (Excerpt from www.businessdictionary.com)

If any unusual activity has been noticed or suspected on their accounts while using ATMs, individuals are asked to contact the financial institution as a matter of urgency.
